The 9-to-5 workday doesn't work for everyone who needs a document notarized. If you've ever had to leave work early, skip lunch, or delay an immigration application because you couldn't make it to a notary before 5 PM, that problem is now solved.
Document Genie Edmonton has extended its hours. We are now open until 7:00 PM on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, giving Edmonton's working community a real window to get their legal documents sorted without disrupting their day.

Why 7 PM Changes Everything
Edmonton is a city of early starts and long days. Whether you work in healthcare, oil and gas, construction, education, or retail, the 9-to-5 window for professional services rarely aligns with when you're actually free.
Notarization isn't something you can do over lunch in 10 minutes, let alone at the end of a workday. We do. You can walk through our door at 6:30 PM on a Friday and walk out with a notarized document before dinner.
Who benefits most from evening hours
Professionals who can't step away during the workday to get documents notarized
Families managing IRCC immigration applications after school pickup
International students needing transcripts, custodianship declarations, or study permit documents before the fall semester
NRIs and new Canadians processing Indian or Filipino documents after business hours
Anyone with a late-afternoon real estate closing, court deadline, or IRCC portal submission
What You Can Do at Document Genie Edmonton After 5 PM
The extended hours cover our full range of services, not just a subset. Everything we offer during the day is available until 7 PM.
Notary Public & Commissioner for Oaths
Document Genie Edmonton holds both designations, which matters more than most clients realize. A Commissioner for Oaths can witness affidavits and statutory declarations for use within Alberta. A Notary Public can do all of that, plus certify true copies and notarize documents for use outside Alberta or internationally.
Common after-work notarizations we handle:
Affidavits of identity, income, residency, and single status
Statutory declarations of common-law status
Powers of attorney, general, enduring, or for international use
Child travel consent letters
Wills witnessing and personal directives
Certified Translation - 130+ Languages
IRCC does not accept Google Translate. If your immigration application includes foreign-language documents, they need to be certified by a qualified human translator, and that certification needs to meet IRCC's exact format requirements.
Document Genie Edmonton provides certified translations through our IATAC partner network, covering 130+ languages including Punjabi, Hindi, Tagalog, Mandarin, Arabic, Urdu, Gujarati, Spanish, and more. Accepted by IRCC, IQAS, courts, embassies, and professional licensing bodies.
Apostille - Alberta Documents Going Abroad
Since Canada joined the Hague Apostille Convention on January 11, 2024, documents issued in Alberta that need to be used in another country must be apostilled. We handle the complete process, notarization, apostille submission, and international shipping, under one roof.
Fingerprinting Services
We offer ink fingerprinting services for RCMP background checks, immigration applications, and professional licensing, now available until 7 PM on extended-hour days.
Skip the Daytime Rush
Our Edmonton office is busiest between 11 AM and 2 PM, the lunch-hour rush. If you can come in after 5 PM, you'll find shorter wait times, more relaxed service, and the same professional team.
Evening walk-ins: shorter wait times, same professional service. Come after 5 PM and skip the daytime rush.
